Snake – Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 September 2026 · App: Snake (Android package am.faststep.snake)

This policy explains what information the Snake game ("the app") handles, why, and the choices you have. The app is developed and operated by Gevorg Margaryan ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, contact support@faststep.am.

In short: Snake has no accounts and does not ask for your real name, email, contacts, photos or location. If you choose to add a score to the leaderboard, the nickname you type and your score are shown publicly. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects device and advertising information as described below.

1. Information stored only on your device

The app keeps the following in the app's local storage on your phone. It is not sent to us:

Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes this information.

2. Leaderboard (optional)

After a game you can choose to add your score to the shared leaderboard. If you do, we store:

This information is stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and is publicly visible to all players of the app. It is not linked to your device, advertising ID or any account. As with any internet request, Google receives your IP address when the app talks to Firebase; see Firebase privacy and security. Scores are kept until the leaderboard is reset or you ask us to delete them. To delete a score, email us the nickname, score and approximate date.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner, and at most an occasional full-screen ad between games. To serve, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:

Google acts as an independent controller of this data. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): if you are in one of these regions, the app shows Google's consent form before any ads are requested, and you can choose whether ads may be personalised. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy settings link on the app's start and game-over screens.

Other controls: on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on the device). You can also manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

6. Security

All data the app sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Leaderboard entries can only be created, not edited or deleted, by players.

7. Children

Snake is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has entered personal information (for example their real name as a leaderboard nickname), contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent. The only personal information we control is leaderboard entries; email support@faststep.am and we will respond within 30 days. For data held by Google for advertising, use the controls in section 3 or contact Google. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
